Caves Caravan Park is a family friendly holiday destination nestled between a national park, world class beaches and the Margaret River wine region. This park is known for its location with just a 10minute stroll away from the picturesque Yallingup beach. Across the road we have the historic Caves House Hotel known for their Sunday sessions and live music. Next door is local institution Andy’s General Store which serves food, coffee and all the essentials.

Caves Caravan Park is currently looking for two people to live on-site and work as our cleaners. This position would suit a couple or two close friends as the on-site accommodation is twin share (solo applications will not be accepted).

The commitment of the role is approximately three hours each day, five – six days a week starting in the morning and finishing midday. This will increase to 5+ hours per day during peak periods.

The is predominately a cleaning role with some gardening and basic maintenance jobs around the park. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing a daily clean of the ablution blocks and camp kitchen
  • Cleaning of chalets and amenities
  • Assisting with other housekeeping duties when required
  • Gardening and general yard maintenance

The successful applicants will have a positive attitude, show initiative, and be happy to roll their sleeves up and work hard.

Twin share onsite accommodation is provided with your own private area containing an on-site furnished caravan with attached loungeroom, inside wood fire, backyard and ensuite bathroom. Did we mention your backyard has ocean views!

Onsite Caretaker Couple

All round couple to join our team in iconic Yallingup as onsite caravan park caretakers. Rewarding & varied work helping to provide memorable holidays.

Caves Caravan Park is a family owned and operated business nestled between a national park, world class beaches and the Margaret River wine region. Our Park is known for its relaxed atmosphere and shaded caravan and camping sites. With new management and new facilities, the Park is continuing to improve and build on its great reputation.

Two full time positions are available for a caretaker couple available from September 2019 till the end of April 2020, working five days per week on a rotating roster, including most weekends. Extra working days will be required during the busy times. This opportunity would suit a couple who enjoy working as part of a team, have excellent customer service and are happy to roll up their sleeves and help out where need be.

The position provides a great opportunity to try a different lifestyle/career and build up your experience in what it takes to manage a caravan park. Not to mention, we are a 1min drive/10min walk from the beach and have some of the best wineries, breweries, nature walks and beaches on our doorstep.

Accommodation/salary: This position requires the couple to live on-site. It is preferred that the applicants have their own accommodation e.g. caravan, however for the right candidate other options may be available, such as an existing on-site caravan with annex. A competitive salary and accommodation package will be offered to the right candidates.

The first position is predominately an office-based and cleaning role with some after-hours work. It is preferred (but not essential) that the candidate has had experience in a similar role and exposure to Newbook or a similar reservation system. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing friendly, personalised customer service
  • Responding to enquiries, feedback, phone calls and emails
  • Checking in guests and processing payments
  • Opening and/or closing the office and reconciling banking and cash sales
  • Assisting with housekeeping/cleaning duties alongside the cleaning staff
  • Attending to afterhours enquiries from guests at the park 2-3 nights a week
  • Some gardening and general maintenance
  • Being the on-site supervisor when Managers are away

The second position is to assist in the maintenance of the caravan park grounds with some after-hours work. It is preferred (but not essential) that the candidate has a trade background or handy man experience. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing all gardening maintenance and garden renewal projects
  • General maintenance and repairs
  • Maintain a clean and presentable park
  • Assisting with cleaning duties on occasion
  • Attending to afterhours enquiries from guests at the park
  • Being the on-site supervisor when Managers are away
  • Undertaking night time security rounds 2-3 nights a week to ensure safety and enjoyment of guests

The successful applicants will have:

  • Positive team attitude and good physical fitness to keep up in a sometimes fast paced environment
  • Be available during our busy periods which are school holidays and long weekends
  • Neat personal presentation and good communication skills
  • Ability to multi task, think on their feet and find solutions quickly
  • Exceptional customer service skills in handling feedback, complaints and queries
  • An understanding of caravan parks and/or the tourism industry
